Amsterdam Free and easy : VondelPark and Molen Van sloten windmill

Bought the GVB 48 hours tickets for 2 days for our 3 days stay..
from the tourist information counter.

Took a stroll at VondelPArk..
Because it opens early and there is free admission.
A chance to enjoy fresh air, flowers and nature.
It was not very easy to locate the place because it does require some walking.
We walked till we were tired and took a tram to Molen Van Sloten Windmill.

Transport: trams 1, 2 and 5 go to leidseplein, walk to vondelpark entrance, 5-10 minute walk
Tram2 and get off willemsparkweg but will be in middle/top end of the park.

Took a break at coffee house before doing a tram transfer to windmil.

The beautiful flowers we saw on the way to the windmill
The main reason for visiting this windmill is because is the most accessible.
Had to walk around 15-20minutes.
Saw a lot of beautiful flowers and stop a small garden to ask a man for directions.
Was bit unsure but a kind man helped us out.
More information can be found at their website

Directions: tram 1 (stop Baden Powellweg) or tram 2 to the end point.

Daily, 10 a.m. - 5p.m.

Molen Van Sloten
I did enjoy my trip.
The museum was was average. We went up the windmill. Need to climb up some steep steps and ladder.
The guide who was also in charge of operating the windmill explain to us very clearly how the windmill operate and let us in on a lot of interesting facts.
Is really better to experience the real thing then read about it in books.
We tried out the wooden clogs and also climb onto the wheel to have a feel of things.

Amsterdam free and easy : Sandeman redlight district tour

We decided to join a tour because we feel awkard walking around the redlight district alone and we can understand more about the history and details.
This time round, my tour guide is spunky girl.
She is more interesting and cheerful. I like her much better than my previous guide.
She presented everything it a chirpy and factual way so there is no need to feel shy or awkward.
I did not take photos as no photography was allowed at the redlight district and this was also basic respect to the girls working there.
After the tour, everyone was given one drink at a little pub.

Amsterdam free and easy : Sandemans NewEurope Free Tour

Join this free walking tour.
Just make an online reservation
Whether you get a guide that you like, is a game of luck.
I did not really like mine as I find him arrogant, he sounded like a strict teacher bringing  students out on an excursion. However, he is not in the list of guides anymore.
The tour was interesting and covered a lot of places and I learned a lot about Amsterdam but I do feel a bit bored because my guide was not really interesting.
The tour is free but they do accept tips.
Give more if you think they are good.
If they are not, I think a very small token for their work.

SExy land

A hook that was found on the houses. the use of it?
haha.. join the tour to find out.
Art..

The beautiful row of houses
NArrow and closely packed houses
Who did we see in chinatown?

The electric tram.
The main transport, unless you know how to cycle
15 minutes break during the tour.
The guide recommend us to eat this Amsterdam's fast food.
Just deposit the coin and can just open the drawer to take out your burger.

Beautiful Amsterdam

We saw a ladybird.
