Korea free and easy: Seoul Insadong

I find Insadong interesting and different from Mydeongdong.
Insadong is near to a one of the palace. I just walked over.
Insadong is famous for tea houses and traditional snacks and little shops selling souvenirs and quirky things

Anguk Station (Seoul Subway Line 3), Exit 6.

Go 100m straight, then turn left.
OR
Jonggak Station (Seoul Subway Line 1), Exit 3.
Go straight 300m, and turn left at the 4-way Intersection.
Go straight 100m, and take the left road towards Insadong-gil Road.

Starbucks in Korean. My sister say is the one in the world that spell starbhucks in a foreign language. btw, korean coffee houses has free wifi.
Cute hp case? bargaining allowed at times.

Look out for this people in red. walking tourist information counter. Always ready to provide information in various languages.

Korea free and easy : Seoul Accomodation

Myeongdong Skypark Hotel.
Small room.
However, is clean and new.
Some rooms come with bathtubs.
When I was there, they had a tie up with etude house so there was a small segment for diy manicure and a free mask
Location wise is good as it is at myeongdong. Just walk out of the hotel and you are at myeongdong shopping area.
Ten minutes walk to namdaemun and 15 mins cab ride to dongdaemun. 3 minutes walk to the subway.

Korea free and easy: seoul super market

Supermarket!! My favourite place for buying snacks back home or some fresh fruits to keep myself healthy for the whole trip
Supermarket at Seoul train station..
From myeongdong, it is a five minutes taxi ride or a station away.
It is like a hypermart with toiletries, food and a lot of things.

They don't provide plastic bags but free paper box for you to pack your items. or bring your own bags

I love love the grapes

The famous banana milk. Bought various drinks to try out.



Btw, if you spend quite a lot.. I don't remember the amount, you can do tax refunds too.

Korea free and easy : Seoul Tower

Taking the free bus as they don't allow cars to go up anymore.
Can take the cable car too.



 Managed to catch the beautiful autumn leaves.





 Love locks everywhere. someone even managed to hang cups on it. haha..
 Bought tickets to go up.
I will suggest reaching  seoul tower around 1-2 hour before sunset so can take photos of seoul tower in day and go up before the sun stare to set. Will be able to catch the day and night scenery of seoul.


 They using the "love theme" to attract more people to seoul tower.

I went in second week of novemeber in 2010 and 1st week of november in 2011. However, I manage to catch pretty maple leaves in 2010. In 2011, some of the maples leaves turned yellow or was dried up.



From Chungmuro Station (subway lines 3 & 4), use exit #2 and take bus #2(Yellow Bus) to N Seoul Tower (08:00 to 24:00 / every 8 min / 15 min travel time) Fee 550won
